The Joy of Six is a collaboration by two people with very different experiences of the game of cricket but a shared love that transcends those differences. This is a blog about cricket – but it aims to be about something more. After all, as CLR James so famously said, ‘what do they know of cricket who only cricket know?'

It is a blog born out of adversity but it is about finding solace and catharsis in the greatest game known to man (and, of course, woman); not just in the playing and the watching, but in the memories, the friendships and the shared joy that all those for whom the game means so much will know.
